Very well done analysis, sir! I’m a factory certified tech/trainer for Mitsubishi and Fujitsu VRF. I would love to do what you’ve done in my training lab with multiple types of units one day. The hardest part, and the reason why you’ll go in circles on your reading sometimes, is there is about 6-10 temps/pressures the unit is constantly reading and adjusting to. They do have targets for SH, Condensing Temp, Evap Temp, SC, Tube-in-Tube SC, but that target can be affected based on compressor speed, compressor discharge temp, outdoor temps, etc. These targets are mostly proprietary and not published. Aside from being proprietary, it’s just too hard for the manufacturers to publish reading for all types of conditions. That’s why if there’s ever a question of charge, dump it and weigh it in. One thing you might want to look into is a Service Tool/Maintenance tool for your brand. You will be able see some targets and actual indoor and outdoor coil temps, compressor speed/amps, LEV positions, etc. This is especially helpful if you are using multizone systems. My next project in my lab is to run through common field scenarios and record all these reading so you can see how the system will react to an overcharge, under charge/leak, dirty filters, blower wheel, restrictions, etc. One of the hardest parts about diagnosing these units is they will try to run as best as possible no matter what is going on. As far as evap coil temps in cooling, most target 35-50* and super heat can be as low as 1-5* depending on conditions. LEV’s are far superior of mechanics TXV’s due to their immediate response to changes. Loved your video, would like to see more of your work and analysis!

Can you do a video on the 220 connector I tested the 220v port and from each line 1 & line 2 to neutral I've got 170 on line 1 and 70 volts on line 2... can you see if yours does the same thing and if so how come it's not clean power if I connect both my tester leads to line 1 and line 2 my meter shows 240

I have a hard jam in my pfaff 130-6 not seized from lack of lubrication felt like a needle broke and was inside. there is no needle but I can see with a magnifying glass wrapped brass thread but thinner. Cannot move the handwheel more than 1/8th of an inch. the wire is below the case holder part right around the post that holds in the hook holder. Thanks again learned lots

Are you finding a trend of Sparx users’ steel with uneven grinding? For example, I’m seeing either too much toe or heel blade taken off compared to other end of steel. I don’t have a Sparx but I find myself correctly the imbalance.

Harbor freight makes the 5 ton unit. Wen makes the 6.5 ton unit, and Bilt Hard has a 6.5 ton unit for all the same price and all have fairly good reviews. I's still deciding which one I'll buy? I pretty much ruled out Harbor Freights splitter because it's just rated at 5 ton, and the other two are both 6.5 ton units. For about $35 more the Wen will include a stand, but it looks kinda flimsy and not rated all that well, so I will probably make my own stand for which ever splitter I buy.

That looks like an easy weld. IF you want to fix it without the weld I'd use JB weld epoxy. Then do the band clamp around it. That copper band was a smart choice.

Nice demonstration. Waste spark is when you have 1 coil for 2 different cylinders, it fires 1 plug on compression stroke but the other fires on exhaust stroke hence the "wasted spark". It doesn't have anything to do with cleaner burning or firing twice

I replaced the evaporator fan and plugged the refrigerator back in but the fan isn’t spinning. Do I need to wait with it plugged in and on before it will start working again? We don’t have an icemaker on ours

You can always use a hair dryer to melt the ice faster, & it blows the water off anything.
